Pearl is a 5 year old owner surrender who was brought to the shelter after her owner died and the family didn't want her. She's been in a habitat room at the shelter for months and we got the call she needed to be rescued because
she has a swollen leg. Lapcats took her to the vet where she had surgery to remove the mass and all is good now. The mass was just fatty tissue. Pearl needs to be on a weight management diet to lose a few pounds but she's a wonderfully loving girl who gets along with other cats and enjoys people. We also think she would enjoy being in a yard with cat fencing since she seems to enjoy the sunshine on the patio in our enclosed cat patio. SCACR-LAPCATS are either being fostered by a volunteer, in the Adoption Center at PetSmart, xxxx Laguna Boulevard, Elk Grove or at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter xxxx Bradshaw Rd. in Sacramento. They are spayed and neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, have tested negative for FELV/FIV, treated with a flea preventative, have been de-wormed and are micro-chipped. The $100.00 adoption fee also includes a county license for Sacramento County residents, a free office visit with a participating veterinarian and other complimentary items.
